Lifford native Shane McCauley was the winner of the Brendan McDaid Memorial Special Achievement at the Donegal Sports Star Awards.
Now based in London, he embarked on a swim across the English Channel last year, and it was all very much in a good cause as it was also a fundraiser.
After the awards ceremony, he spoke with Chris Ashmore and outlined the background to the swim and what was involved.
