Hot school meals are set to be extended to all remaining Deis schools this September.
Under plans approved by Cabinet this week, it will be also extended to all other schools across the country from next year.
It comes following a report highlighting how the programme can improve attendance and benefit households financially.
The School Meals Programme was set up in 2003, but hot meals only became a feature in 2019.
