The Chair of Donegal County Council’s Defective Concrete Block Committee says the Housing Minister and Department must take on board concerns raised around the enhanced defective block scheme ahead of the publication of the regulations.
The regulations are expected to be published in the coming weeks.
Councillor Martin McDermott says there are important elements of the regulations which must be updated and the process of the scheme made more streamlined.
He says while proper redress is needed, it needs to be done in a timely manner:
