Gardaí are reminding the public that the legal level of tinting for windscreens is 35%.
It comes as over the weekend the Roads Policing Unit have removed tinting at a checking point in Drumkeen.
They say excessively tinted windscreens or front side windows present a significant safety hazard for vehicle drivers and their occupants.
