Donegal was one of three counties to experience an increase in spending in pubs in June.
Irish people spent more money in pubs, restaurants and hotels last month.
Spending in pubs rose by 28% during the month of June, peaking on June 24th, the day of the Dublin Pride Parade.
Donegal, Mayo and Laois saw big pub spend increases during the June Bank Holiday weekend with a 20% increase in hotel spend.
Spending in Donegal pubs was up 34%.
The AIB Spend Trend figures revealed a slowdown in people booking airline travel compared to May with those aged 65 and over accounting for the biggest decrease down 10%.
Restaurants had the highest average daily spend increase by customers from Cavan.
Overall average daily spending increased by 4% while spend on groceries increased by 3%.
The data was compiled from 70 million debit and credit card transactions in store and online during June 2023
