Donegal County Council says it’s preference would be that people paying for parking would do so through the Donegal eParking app.
During a discussion on parking at a meeting of Letterkenny-Milford Municipal District, Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh asked
that the council upgrade its car parking payment terminals so that they can take wireless card payments.
He also suggested the app be promoted.
Officials pointed out card payments mean an immediate loss of 25% of the revenue through fees, and they would be anxious to see the app used more widely.
