Malin Head Coast Guard co-ordinated the medical evacuation of a seriously ill casualty off the coast of Mayo yesterday in conjunction with UK colleagues.
The R118 Sligo rescue helicopter conducted the evacuation of the German registered fishing vessel 111 miles west of Erris Head.
They were supported by their Dublin counterparts to see the patient winched onboard and transported to Sligo into the care of the HSE.
