Donegal County Council has agreed to write to the HSE with a view towards the body co-funding the LIFESTART programme in Donegal through TUSLA.
The programme currently supports the parents of over 550 children in the county while over 200 children are on a waiting list.
Councillor Michael McBride says those of the waiting list cannot be abandoned.
He believes the HSE has adequate financial resources to fund the LIFESTART programme, saying it does very important work…..
