Two cars have been seized at a checkpoint in Letterkenny today as the Donegal Rally gets underway later.
One of the vehicles was deemed to be dangerous and defective and the other had no tax, NCT or insurance.
Gardaí, who were assisted by the Dog Unit, the RSA & Customs Officers, are appealing to drivers to vehicles are roadworthy and have up to date documentation.
