There’s been an increase in referrals to Tusla.
The Child Protection Service says there were almost 92,000 referrals last year, which is an 11% increase on 2022.
The agency was established 10 years ago and demand for its services has doubled since then.
The report notes there remains a risk of reduced public confidence in Tusla because of adverse findings from statutory investigations, inspections and serious incidents.
