Bunbeg Coast Guard was tasked by colleagues in Malin Head following reports of a kayaker in distress, southwest of Inishsirrer Island yesterday.
The team launched within minutes and arrived on scene to find an individual in the water and clinging onto an overturned kayak.
They were assisted from the water and the kayak was recovered.
Both were transported to Bunaninver Harbour to the awaiting Shore Team.
