British Government commits to repeal and replace Troubles Legacy Laws

The British Government has made a commitment to repeal and replace the controversial Troubles Legacy Laws.

The laws were passed by the Tories and gave effective immunity for crimes – including murder – committed during the Troubles.

The Irish Government had taken a case against the British Government as a result.
