IMO President says government has important decisions to make in next month’s budget

The Donegal based IMO president says he would prefer it if money spent on initiatives to have people on waiting lists treated in Northern Ireland were invested in Letterkenny University Hospital instead.

Dr Denis McCauley says the government must invest more wisely in the health service, particularly in terms of the education and training of doctors..

In its pre-budget submission, the IMO says population growth means pressures on the health service will intensify as well.
