McDonald urges British government to signal its intentions on unity referendum

The Sinn Fein President is calling on the British Government to “make clear its intention to trigger a referendum” on Irish unity.

Mary Lou McDonald made the comments in a speech at the UK Labour party conference yesterday.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has previously said the issue of a united Ireland is not on his horizon.
