It’s understood plans for a long-called-for upgrade of one of Northern Ireland’s most notorious roads are to get the go-ahead.
Since 2007, more than 50 lives have been lost on the A5 – which links Derry with Aughnacloy in County Tyrone.
An announcement is expected after a meeting of the Stormont Executive this afternoon.
