Police in Derry say the road between the Madamsbank and Glengalliagh roundabouts has been reopened.
They are investigating a collision involving a red car yesterday, which left a man with serious injuries.
Anyone in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident, or who would have dash cam footage is urged to contact the PSNI.
