The Finance Minister says the income tax base will not be broadened.
The Irish Tax Institute has found around one million people aren’t paying USC or income tax.
It’s described the base of the tax system as “an inherent weakness”, and is calling on the government to widen it in order to include more lower income workers.
Minister Jack Chambers says this is not something that will be considered…………….
