People are being urged to avoid the area around the old Carraig Rua Hotel in Dunfanaghy which is in a serious state of disrepair.
Local Cllr Michael McClafferty says there is a large pane of glass which is loose, and about to fall off the building, and he fears it may cause injury.
Emergency services are assessing the situation.
