Letterkenny now largest town without rail plans


Letterkenny is now officially the largest town in Ireland without a plan to be connected to the rail network.
It comes with the news that there are now plans in place to restore rail to Navan and Swords by 2035.
Into the West, a rail campaign group for Derry, Donegal, Tyrone & Fermanagh, is now calling for the town to be prioritised moving forward.
The chairperson is Steve Bradley.
He says there is a multitude of reasons why connecting Donegal to the Irish rail network is a necessity:
