Council backs call for enhanced A&E at Altnagelvin amid service pressures

Derry City and Strabane District Council have supported a motion seeking new Accident and Emergency facilities at Altnagelvin Hospital.

Cllr Sandra Duffy moved the motion saying health services across the board are under severe stress.

A shortage of GPs is hampering efforts at the ED in Derry.
