A man has been left hospitalised following an alleged stabbing in Ballyshannon.
Gardaí have confirmed that they tended the scene of a serious assault at a house in the area.
The man aged in his 50s is now said to be in a stable condition at Sligo University Hospital.
Another man, also aged in his 50s was arrested and is being detained at a Garda Station in the North Western Region.
