Long-awaited resurfacing works are set to be carried out on the Cockhill Road in Buncrana.
Works were delayed as the road was at risk of subsiding following sewage upgrade works.
Donegal County Council has confirmed that the works will be carried out over Easter to minimise disruption for school traffic.
Cllr Fionán Bradley says those using the road regularly will soon be able to reap the rewards:
