A Donegal-based cabin supplier is encouraging people to have their say on the Government’s plans to exempt larger garden houses from planning permission.
Luxury Tiny Homes says the move is “a bold step towards smarter housing in Ireland”.
The Government has indicated that, subject to approval following the current public consultation that the new planning exemptions could come into effect before the end of this year.
Speaking from the company’s Bridgend base, spokesperson Natasha Doherty says they are currently the only company in Ireland which is already adhering to the strict building regulations stipulated in this proposal:
