Following the announcement that more money is being allocated to sport in next year’s budget, a local councillor says provisions must be made for the delivery a new leisure centre in Buncrana.
There was wide spread disappointment last year when the project was omitted from the Large Scale Sports Infrastructure Fund.
Cllr Jack Murray says he is often told on the ground that people in the peninsula travel to Derry to avail of such facilities.
