The Housing Minister’s drafting a plan which would enable older people to split their homes into flats, without planning permission.

James Browne has told the Sunday Times he’s examining a proposal similar to one seen in the UK.

He’s also scrapped plans to incentivise older people to downsize their homes, saying people need to have choice.
