It’s claimed that people who can’t get taxis are ringing 999 to get home.
Ambulance services have confirmed to the Irish Daily Mail that they’re being abused by people seeking to use them as cabs on nights out.
They also claim people are phoning emergency services to get an ambulance to collect elderly relatives and bring them to hospital so families can go away on holiday.
The HSE says people should only call 112/999 in case of emergency.
