Australian police say Bondi attack accused had firearms training


Detectives in Australia believe the man accused of killing 15 people on Bondi Beach trained with his father in rural New South Wales.

Police say they have photos allegedly showing the father and son handling firearms in a secluded part of the state.

Court documents also claim the pair threw four improvised explosive devices toward Hanukkah celebrations last weekend, but none detonated.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says tougher sentencing and revamped gun laws are being considered, with one goal which is to keep Australians safe:
