
The Irish Wheelchair Association’s It’s No Joke campaign is appealing to local authorities to appoint a dedicated Access and Inclusion Officer.
This is with the aim of helping improve access to local and public services for people with disabilities.
Only six local authorities have officers in place.
The IWA has contacted councillors to pass a motion requesting a budget for a full-time position.
