A Letterkenny bus company is urging people in Donegal to attend a nationwide fuel protest that is taking place this week.
Families, workers, farmers, hauliers, recovery drivers, fishermen, builders, small businesses, and ordinary people are being asked to show their support across the North West.
The main North West gathering with Donegal, Letterkenny, Ballybofey, Bundoran and surrounding areas feeding into Sligo will meet at 7.30am at the N4/N15 interchange, moving off at 8am.
The Donegal and Letterkenny feeder meeting will take place at 6am in the Tesco Car Park on the Port Road in Letterkenny, moving off at 6.15am and heading south to join Sligo.
The People Of Ireland Against Fuel Prices Protest is also asking people not driving to go out and support them on bridges, roadsides, town approaches, and safe public areas.
In a statement on social media, McGettigan Travel Ltd, has urged people in Donegal to get behind the movement, saying the “relentless” hike in fuel prices has pushed them to their knees.
They also called on their competitors to get involved, saying it is time to put competition aside and stand together to fight for their industry.
