
A Cork mother Is calling for laws to regulate the filming of tragedies, over a year since she lost her son to a drowning incident.
Elizabeth Hyde’s son Luke died after getting into difficulty swimming in the River lee in April last year.
Crowds gathered around the river the time of the incident and videos and livestreams circulated online.
Elizabeth Hyde told The Echo she was exposed to graphic videos of her son after the incident, and has spent the last 14 months advocating for regulations.
