A 10-year-old girl, who was seriously injured in a crash in County Cavan last week, has died.
The car she was travelling in collided with a flatbed van near Shercock at around 4.30 last Friday evening.
The girls mother – who was aged in her 50’s – was driving the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The girl was rushed to Temple Street Children’s Hospital, but died there yesterday.
Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage from the scene to come forward.
