Today’s opening one day international match between Ireland and Afghanistan at Bready Cricket Club has been abandoned.
Play was due to get underway at the Tyrone venue at 10.45am but with the present wet conditions and incoming rain for the rest of the day, it means play will not be possible.
The second of a scheduled five game series at Bready will take place on Friday the 7th August.
That game will now be Gary Wilson’s first match as Ireland head coach.
