One of the main banks has issued a new fraud warning to customers.
AIB says there was an almost 60 per cent jump in cases of payment fraud last month, with customers being tricked into handing over security codes or cash.
It says no genuine organisation would pressure a customer into making any immediate decisions about your finances, and says customers should ‘Wait a sec, double check’, before acting on any unexpected request.
