At the World U-20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon, Tir Conaill Athletic Club’s Fintan Dewhirst is through to the men’s 400m hurdles semi-finals.
He was second last night in heat one in 50.73 seconds and so automatically gets into the semi-finals on Sunday.
Letterkenny’s Erin Friel is in action on Sunday in the 4×400 m relay.
