Donegal Domestic Violence Services is appealing to anyone living in fear or an abusive situation to reach out and take the first step towards getting support.
The service says having just one conversation could be the beginning of a safer future.
It says domestic abuse can be emotional, psychological, coercive, financial, sexual or physical, and stresses that whatever form it takes, it is not the victim’s fault.
Support is available confidentially, compassionately and without judgement.
