A sitting of the Northern Ireland Affairs Committee in Westminster has heard that taxation regimes on different sides of the border is putting pressure on Northern Ireland’s hospitality sector.
Figures from the NI Statistics and Research agency suggests that in 2025 jobs in the hospitality sector decreased by 2000, from 57,000 to 55,000.
Selina Horshi, a member of Hospitality Ulster says, that a business in Derry struggles to compete with a business in Donegal due to fine operating margins.
