The Department of Housing has committed to holding quarterly meetings with Donegal’s Defective Concrete Blocks Committee.
A five-member delegation from the committee met with Department officials in Dublin this morning, although the Housing Minister was unable to attend due to a prior engagement.
Committee Chairperson Cllr Gerry McMonagle says it was a productive meeting and gave the delegation an opportunity to clearly explain the human impact of the defective blocks crisis.
He added that the committee is now expecting a visit from Department of Housing officials in Donegal in October:
