A new Coastal Location Code system has already been used in an emergency, just two weeks after it was launched.
The initiative was developed following an incident in which Cllr Brian Carr and two young family members were swept out to sea with emergency services initially unable to locate them.
Cllr Carr says he is pleased to hear the system has already proved helpful and believes it has the potential to be rolled out nationwide……………
