A man has started a campaign to put Christmas lights up in Dungloe this year, following news that the previous lighting committee had stepped away for this year.
Seamus Price is hoping to pull a community meeting this Thursday evening in the Dungloe GAA Clubhouse to put an official plan in place, welcoming people of all abilities to join.
They hope to work with the previous committee to organise a smooth handover of the previous lights, then to get them put up in the next two weeks.
Seamus believes having Christmas lights in Dungloe is not only crucial to children in the town, but also the wider community:
Further information on this event is available on the Dungloe Christmas Lights 2026 Facebook page.
