Gardai in Letterkenny say members on patrol near the Hospital Roundabout in Letterkenny at 7.40 on Saturday night observed a male teenager laying in a
bush near the entrance to the Town Park.
Two members of the public were attempting to assist him as he had sustained an injury. It is believed that he may have been assaulted by a male who was unknown to him at that location. He was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
GardaI are appealing to anyone who may have travelled in that area that night between 7pm and 7.45pm with a dash-cam to make the footage available to Gardaí. If anyone can offer relevant information, they are asked to contact Letterkenny Gardaí on 074-9167100.
