
The Irish Greyhound Board is carrying out a comprehensive review of the industry, with the financial viability of 16 stadiums, including Lifford, set to take place in the coming months.
The Board’s CEO Gerard Dollard says each stadium will be assessed in several different areas, including finance, population catchment and other competing sporting facilities.
He says the greyhound industry has been experiencing change, and this review will determine how it must adapt.
Of the 16 stadiums, seven are privately owned.
That includes Lifford, which is currently on the market.
