A formal twinning arrangement is being finalised this morning between Letterkenny and the German town of Rudolstadt, following series of meetings between representatives of the two towns.
40 people from the German town, including Mayor Jorg Reichl, have been in Donegal since Friday, and following a cultural event last night, the documents are being signed today at the Letterkenny Public Services Centre.
Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh was Mayor when the discussions began. He says it’s an arrangement that will benefit both towns:
