Its emerged that a patient at Letterkenny University Hospital has been waiting over two days for a bed on a ward.
The patient who was admitted earlier this week is currently on a trolley placed on a corridor in the hospital from where they have to make their way to another ward to use toilet and shower facilities.
Councillor Micheal Cholm MacGiolla Easbuig who was contacted by the patient, a constituent of his, says this is another unfortunate reminder of the Governments failure to adequately fund the health system:
