Calls on candidates to value & respect diversity in Donegal

 

As the election campaign heats up, candidates are being urged to value and respect diversity in Donegal.
The Donegal Travellers Project have invited all candidates to visit them and are asking that the use of discriminatory comments or prejudice against the Traveller Community be omitted from their campaigns.
Last month, as part of the group’s Love Not Hate Campaign, over 1500 signatures were collected across the county in a call for the Government to enact stronger hate crime legislation.
