Work has started on a mural dedicated to Irish guitarist Rory Gallagher in Ballyshannon.
The mural at the Bridgend area of the town is the first in a planned series of murals depicting well known people from the area.
Ballyshannon is the birth place of Rory Gallagher and the town hosts the Rory Gallagher Festival annually.
Cllr Barry Sweeny says Plans for this have been ongoing for a while and this will be just one of a number of steps to improve and regenerate the Ports and Bridgend areas of the town.
