The Republic of Ireland Under-19 women’s soccer team made 10 changes for their second International friendly against Portugal in three days and lost 3-0 at the Centro de Estágios do Luso.
Sligo Rovers forward Emma Doherty – who is from Buncrana – was the only player to stay in the line-up and she captained the team.
Head Coach Dave Connell wanted to use these two games to test his full squad so this was an opportunity for players who didn’t start in last Tuesday’s scoreless draw to impress.
