Patrick McBrearty was named Donegal captain over the weekend.
The Kilcar man will lead his country into their National League campaign with the first game against All Ireland champions Kerry on January 29.
McBrearty who takes over the role from Michael Murphy says it an honour to be leading out Donegal in 2023.
