Acting Garda Chief Superintendent Jim Sheridan has promised to review the overall policing along border areas in Co Donegal.
It follows a meeting yesterday between Gardai and members of Fianna Fail including councillors Paul Canning, Ciaran Brogan, Dessie Larkin and Deputy Charlie McConalogue.
Cllr Canning, who has been highlighting the lack of Garda manpower in and around the Inishowen area said an increased Garda presence was needed in border areas.
