An Inishowen Councillor has welcomed the progress of the funding application for Buncrana Leisure Centre.
Cllr Jack Murray confirmed yesterday that the application for the centre is being uploaded to the Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund website.
The council is seeking around €17 million for the development of a state of the art, leisure centre.
Cllr Murray says there is a gap in the community that this development will fill.
