The Seanad has heard of the need for support of festivals in the Northwest.
Donegal Senator Manus Boyle says this year alone, the Donegal Food Festival and Sea Sessions have not gone ahead.
It’s also understood that the Rory Gallagher Festival is on a ‘knife edge’.
